automatic log-off is kind of annoying...
you know when it's been 4 hours you're logged in, you're kicked out
and need to login again... could the timer be reset everytime we load a page ?
being online all day long, I check now and then if I have completed productions or if I need to reload a store, but after 4 hours, I'm kicked out, even if I reloaded a page 30 seconds ago. that's really annoying.
thanks

a bookmark won't help. I'm talking about when you actually are in the game.
let's say I start to produce 1000 gas in one factory. if I want to go see my other factories, I click on production, then, BAM! I'm logged out. it does that once every 4 hours. I know it's not complicated to just log back in, but it's annoying.

You know, it always seemed to me that if I was just killing time checking the market or something, it was fine. But as soon as a factory stopped and I'm racing to restart it, that's when it times out.psychopat wrote:being online all day long, I check now and then if I have completed productions or if I need to reload a store, but after 4 hours, I'm kicked out, even if I reloaded a page 30 seconds ago. that's really annoying.

(See Elwood, the "Twisted Evil" kind of applies there.

This logout serves a couple purposes though. Obviously it's a security thing, there to ensure that if someone did get access to your url it's only useful for a short time before requiring the password.
Secondly, it's protection against bots, which could potentially cripple the server if overused. The current setup hampers them greatly, requiring not only a login every 3 hours but a different URL for each login. If you let people stay logged in indefinitely, that's exactly what you're opening up.

I think it's a conspiracy. I mean, all these old people don't actually need any help. They are old (mature I think they call it) and have all that experience. They can handle themselves. The only reason they don't say "We'll be alright!" is they actually enjoy watching younger people do it.
Sitting back and letting someone else do it is one of the greatest joys in life

Hm, the problem with the old people is: they will never get cheap goods on the market. Why?
- they are getting tired earlier then the kids and must go to bed
- they need more breaks (tea-time, ...)
- their reaction is too slow
- they can't coordinat their hands and fingers as fast as the kids
So could this be the reason why they let young people do their job?
