Stocks

A HUGE bussiness in rl, so why not in Kapi?

We have 8 countries and 3 categories (food, non-food, raw materials) and loads of possibilities of more (e.g. Luxury goods like cars, jewelry,...) buying and selling of stocks + the changes in the market of which it's based on would result in a very interesting new part of the game.

Negative sides are the programming, extra work for the server and collecting of the data.

As davidfranses said, we already do have a stock market. However, it is completly useless. Even the German version with a lot more people doesn't to well.

I use help a lot, but I don't read everything, especially if I'm not searching for it :)

And A stock market shouldn't be useless :? It has some great potential and interesting game aspects...

Why expand access to a broken feature? i'd rather wait til i get to Manager, by then they might have worked out whatever is wrong.

well ,
The most common way for companies to raise money and cash is to sel stocks and shares
So why can't we???

What i mean is, the devs have already implemented a stock market feature. Since stock prices only go down, something is obviously wrong. Since i don't know how large the design team is, and no date has been given for an update to the stock market, then i have to assume that it will take awhile before the problem is solved. My hope is that it will be solved before i make manager because i do think it is an interesting feature. However, it has also been stated that players can't sell stock in their own companies, but rather trade in the secondary market for fictional companies. So look at it as an additional potential revenue stream rather than an influx of fresh capital.
