Prologue of my Comic

Post by Guest » 14.01.2010, 04:30

I sent this in early on the 11th, to KapiTimes, Ver has yet to answer. So I thought I'd be nice enough to post it here. It's Off Topic, not really violating any pic size rules, and for those who don't understand, a prologue is just a story introduction. The story is based on events based in Starcraft, about a Ghost. All of the art is mine, the script written by me, well everything was done by me.

I'm not looking for critiques or any pats on the back, this purely for entertainment. Although, I do hope you enjoy it.

It's kinda difficult to read (the font) but I like it :D

Ya it's a font that takes some time to get used to. mainly because it's small letters.
"my name? Hell, I was never given one" is about the smallest that font can get to stay easy to read, the smaller fontsize throughout the rest of the comic can be a little difficult to see at times.
for example, the "a" kinda looks like an 8.

on Dave & David I wanted to use a font that isn't one of the common fonts, but found that most of my fonts were hard to read at the smaller sizes.
so for Dave & David I decided to just use Arial anyway... it's about the jokes, not the font that the jokes are written in. :P

The font size couldn't be helped. What is written here in half of what I originally wrote. I had to halve it, then get the story to sound sensible.

Another thing that I just realized, with KapiTimes being published only once per 2 weeks, the story will go by slow. Because I will have to limit it to 2 to 4 panels each issue.

If you have suggestions, please don't be shy to drop me a PM or ask here. I can draw more cartoony (e.g. the last panel, with the lab).

if it's hard to change the font size (which I know, is a problem with these comics) you might want to look for a different font that's easier to read at small sizes.

and yes, stories are slow because they publish once every 2 weeks.

I try to stick to 1 comic for each subject rather than doing full stories because of this.
Even though I do have a 3-part series of Dave & David written, I'll just hope for the readers to have a good memory. :P

Maybe I should make a Dilbert equivalent version of Kapilands? :)
