I suggest that we should hve a second warehouse. IN this wherehouse
should only be steel, wood and stones bought from NPC and should only
used for contstraction.... I say that if you buy this products at NPC you
should only use it for contsraction and not for production.... But if you want
you can also use your products that are on the current warehouse for
contraction too.. I understand the limit for water and power and seeds , i
understand the limit on stones, wood, steel in contstraction but why to use
them in your products to make e.x. cars, computers, wardrobes...????

The NPC is there to help new companies. If there was no NPC then large companies would always have a major advantage over smaller ones.
Your suggestion basicallymakes the NPC rather useless. The NPC's roll isn't just for providing cheap building materials but cheap materials you can use for everything.

that way there should be an NPC on everything to prevent older companies to have an adavantage... From as far as i know NPC is on water, power and seeds because there are needed everywhere and the other to keep low contraction costs... What the need for steel NPC for production and not Chemicals NPC (Chemicals are used in alot more products....)
I don't agree that hepl newbyies but to keep contstraction cost and it is not usefull to use this NPC for production.........
Also in order not to be second warehouse could these 3 NPC products have a quality (C) constraction in order just not to be used for production......

What is the big deal about using steel or wood from the NPC for production? If there wasn't a NPC for those products prices would jump so high small companies would never be able to produce anything requireing those materials. They would have to waste building spaces to produce a material they would have bought for the NPC price.
NPC
Water - Used in Production
Power - Used in Production
Seeds - Used in Production
Steel - Used in Production and Construction
Wood - Used in Production and Construction
Stone - Used in Construction

if these small companies find that this is not profitable for them they should go on other bussiness like now.. THere should be NPC to make for everyone ok to expand but not to have a stander production based on that.. I don't agree with this... And what i am saying is not unfair for small companies but maybe it is unfair for bigger companies that now will have to pay maybe more...
Hmm, I think Greed has got a good point..ofcourse business strategies would entirely change when the NPC would no longer be there, could be very interesing to see how it would work out, I agree it could in fact be very good for small companies, (or a disaster)..
What will happen..
first all prices for raw materials will rise, obviously, and thus everything that is produced with these materials.
but very soon prices will drop due to oversupply, I think they will drop considerably, it will be like the contests of raw materials, you can see what happens there: prices go up, everybody starts producing, prices drop.
And after that is a mystery to me, I don't no if it would stabilize, but I do suspect without NPC the prices will go up, they will go down too every once in a while, but gradually they will go higher and higher, and I don't know if that is going to be very good or very bad..

I think it would be good for smaller co's they have a far larger option of what to make and how. But, I use 100k lots of steel with ease and im mid sized I think it would be a huge drain on the productive capacity of kapi. Thousands of m2 of factory space that had made gas would be turned to steel because of the staggering amounts used each and every day. This holds true for wood as well and power/water in realm 1. I simply dont think the economy could sustain the reduction of hundreds of millions of $ from sales every day without significant problems. But, its supply and demand, the price would go down after a few weeks but volume would still be low considering most people are used to simply going out and buying up to a 1mill of steel instantly where as with no NPC they would have to wait for the market or buy ridiculously overpriced to keep their expansions going. In short it will slow the economy down both in terms of output and expands.

Well, if NPC wasn't there, the small companies would have a great problem to expand and build new buildings, just imagine to pay 400,00 caps for steel, 100,00 caps for wood and 75,00 caps for stone, each sqm in Merchant Level would cost 400,00 x 50 + 100,00 x 10 + 75,00 x 100 = 28.500,00 in raw materials. For a big company (let's say at Tycoon level) it would cost 400,00 x 111 + 100,00 x 23 + 221,00 x 75 = 63.275,00, so I can say that for a big company it would be easier to expand than for a small one, cause all of us know that at the begining it's very difficult to have big profits, so the expansion for the smaller ones would take more time. For me instead of making 4.000sqm expansions I would make 1.000/2.000 sqm expansions. Just my 2 cents.
Greed and Sally got a very good point. Without NPC, kapilands will be more fun, realistic, dynamic and unpredictable.
Siberian, do not worry too much of expansion. Free market system will auto adjust it. Let's imagine, if steel is 400 caps, it will be benefit to new players too because they can just simply undercut steel price to 399 caps and sell very fast with still a decent profit. If big players want undercut then they will sell 398 cap, then so are those new players, until the price drop back a reasonable price, then again it will now benefit to all players again.
When a product is super profitable, almost all players will follow, then supply > demand, then the price drop back, then price raise up again, continue the cycle forever. I think that will make kapilands a very realistic fun game.
PS: oh ya, I think the exist of NPC is not because of the price, is because the insufficient supply amount when the server started. If a new player join the game and he need to make steel, power, water, woods all himself, he will be frustrated and quit the game. I remember Knolls had said that, but i forgot which post

This is where the theory fails, for example if the NPC for steel were to disappear tomorrow the prices for steel would sky-rocket resulting in most factories switching to producing Steel killing the other industries. When a product is super profitable, almost all players will follow, then supply > demand, then the price drop back, then price raise up again, continue the cycle forever. The main problem with removing the NPC is the hard limit we have on Selling goods (for example cars' stats prices can't be greater than 150,000c), so making industries unprofitable (e.g wardrobes) simply pushes us into going into the few remaining industries reducing their profitability.
So to sum up removing the NPC would slow down the growth of our companies and force us into fewer profitable industries.
i don't say to stop NPC. My suggestion was power, water and seeds be as they are...
Then NPC WOOD should have quality C or -100
Then NPC STEEL should have quality C or -100
Then NPC STONES should have quality C or -100
so that this products bought from NPC cannot be used for production but only used for contstraction...
I think you missed my point...
Small companies that want to expant will find products same price...

The NPC-system is unfortunately not going to be changed.
It will neither be removed nor removed in parts. The usability of the NPC is not going to be reduced or limited. NPC-Prices are not going to be changed.
That's it.
This may be or sound harsh but as this is at least the 50th suggestion into this direction, I guess you might want to know what's going on here. And that's it.

So how about a Beta version of kapilands, a replica of realm 1 or 2 but without an NPC, just to see what would happen and how it would develope over time..
I would gladly open an account on a Betaversion to test stuff like that, could be very interesting.
I am sure others would be too.
Don't you think? GoldenEye?
