Not sure but I am not a TiB'er or belong to any trade organization at the moment but I am considering joining trade syndicate. I have seen lots of faxes promoting all different syndicates, Can't recall if they all had website in them but REALLY what does it matter if it enhances your PLAYERS / PAYING CUSTOMERS expierience of your product? I do not know what was in Halee-Burton Faxes other then I read here in this forum. Now if it was for offensive or PORN sites by all means delete the fax but for a site that promotes Kapilands come on now that just offensive to me and counter productive to your player base. The game it self suppoert syndicates in it forums and their are website posted in those how can the rules be so different for faxes? So If decided to open my own syndicate you rather I send out in game mail to all the company in Kapilands with the web site with a mail bomb program where I could copy and paste from the kapilands website all the company names and use Internet Exploerer/ Net Frames to do it? that would save me coins to send faxes I do not see any rules against that? Which would totally circumvent your faxes just a thought. Good ole Army training only learned the really useful stuff lol. 31R/31F for the win. IF anyone would like to now how to do such a thing just google it or go to microsoft help and type in mass mail they have step by step instructions. Geeks dot u know what has planety of *hint* mailbomb *hint* programs to download for free also some work with internet explorer some with firefox and other web broswers.
If I was 100% sure that I wouldn't get my accoount banned I do it now and send everyone an in game email, some good ole junk mail in game. Since admins are a little trigger happy I will wait till they reply if this would be against any Kapiland rules and or implment a rule against this which I am sure they would as it would totaly make faxes useless and if every company started sending mass mail to everyone in game I guess that get real annoying fast.

Why should it be a problem to send a fax with links?
And why is it no problem in the German version?

Strange...

Well... I'll do you this favour, but don't expect more than that I point out the rules.
And it also shows a similar sentence in the fax-menu.

Faxes containing links will be deleted without further comment.

I guess that is a link.

Please do not write things of which you cannot be sure. There have indeed faxes that included an unallowed link and had to be deleted.

There is nothing to say against the content of your first fax. I like such faxes, they are more interesting than trade-faxes... yet posting a link that refers to another site than this board is against the rules.

I am not willing to discuss this issue... and especially not when the tone is that agressive and offensive.

[UPDATE: HB, please be realistic. It have only been two faxes... one including a link and another one including offences.]
Fair enough, even if we mentioned the link.
I feel only if there is any offensive content then it should be blocked.
When we mention TIB, we are a gaming organization and we have no sort of competition with Kapilands.

Other than this, if you want to say that there are no affilated organisations to Kapilands, make a disclaimer on the fax page at the bottom.

Hello guys,

GoldenEye and I have taken the time to talk about our fax policy. As moderator it is his job to make sure all players stick to the game rules. By deleting those faxes that contained a link he only did what he thought was necessary to uphold those rules and ensure the same rights and a fair game for everyone here. So please don't bash him for doing his job!

Anyway, we decided that we'll amend the rules, to allow those links to sites that are specifically connected to Kapilands or are advertising the game. We will check those links, and if they refer to sites that don't support the game in any way, they will, also in future, be deleted.

I'll retroactively recompense you HB, so I hope this issue is now settled in everyone's best interest.

Best regards,

pearlbay

We never meant anything bad.
It was just a complaint we lodged for some sort of problem on the fax.

It is one of the marks of good leadership/administration to recognize when change is required and good.

Kudos to you.

Hi Robert,

yes, if your site is only concerned with Kapilands, that's fine then!

Cheers,

 Sounds like a nice new career goal! Unfortunately I am not an American citizen, so I guess I'm going to have to run for chancellor in Germany instead :-)
