Power Cap
The cap on power prices needs to be raised. Right now the supply is no where near keeping up with demand. This means that companies are not motivated to enter the power market. Currently I produce about 1 billion power a day and can sell it all at the cap of .27 in a few hours.
Remove the cap and let the free market take hold. Don't let Kapilands = Commilands.

Just a hint: Read this thread.

Remove/change/restrict the NPC
They are there for a reason, to provide balance and make sure that bigger players don't dominate smaller ones by buying everything up.
Re: Power Cap
I don't really get the idea of people not being motivated to enter the power market due to the cap??akeroo wrote:The cap on power prices needs to be raised. But the most important thing is why you as a producer want more power producers which would only result in lower pricing????
Be happy you sell within hours without a problem and make a decent profit

Look at realm 2, that is balanced at 0.13caps... the only reason power is so expensive on realm 1 is because of certain players (player) who decided to mix it all up and buy power expensivley. At first i didnt see a probelm but after a few days i saw what he was doing. Luckily i make my own power but my friend who just start out kept complaining about all the high power prices. His main output was power and he could afford nothing, thus he quit.
I've sold a big amount of power at 20+ some time ago, but now it has dropped a lot during the last 2 months.felixbluindustries wrote:Look at realm 2, that is balanced at 0.13caps... the only reason power is so expensive on realm 1 is because of certain players (player) who decided to mix it all up and buy power expensivley. And when i started (5 months ago) is was over 15 all the time.
This 13 each is just a fase which will end once people get their buildings up or some energy consuming contest (diamonds/gold/jewelry/ads) starts.
Then all the power will be gone within 24 hours and price will be above 20 again for some time.
Tho right now the price tends to go down even more from the 13, it only shows on R2 power isn't a fixed market for some time.
You really think a player can buy all power on the market??
Its not really a product that isn't produced at all or rarely.
Also several people like to buy power from NPC to try and lower the power price.
It doesn't really seem to work looking at the current power market...
lol he bought it all in any way he could, starting off with buying via contract far higher than the market price(he bought for 0.23) for a few weeks and then the market prices all rose and as others needed power they started buying for 0.24 and 0.25, he then sold his hundreds of billions of power for those price, thus making him a porfit and he now has 100x32747m2 powerplants in red expanding from what he earnt, he still deals in coins i believe. But has been overtaken again thankfully
Speak for your self. Just because you aren't very smart, you said it not me, doesn't mean the entire population of power producers are unintelligent as well. Lowering your prices in order to keep up with the competition is not a stupid thing to do, it's the only smart thing to do in some cases.Myth wrote:If you all realy want the power price to drop, then jsut buy from hte NPC for a week or so. Power produce are not the smartest crowd (Me included) , they will keep lowering their prices until this price is down to around 0.15
If the profit is so insane, why don't people produce their own power instead of whining about the profit being insane???Advanced Electrics wrote:Power producers already make insane profit, taking away the cap would be chaos.
PS.
The maximum profit on power isn't that insane anyway.
Considered a maximum size red powerplant and selling the power at 0.27 each in your own country you get a 9.5M profit/24 hours.
Don't tell me that can't be beaten by other buildings...
Its a disgrace to see people who refuse to produce power themselves complain about power being to expensive...
The cap is fine... when I started the game, power prices on the market tended to be from .02 to .04. This is why i got into power in the first place... spending .01 to make .02 is 100% ROI (return on investment) which is an AMAZING profit.
Power is critical to EVERY commodity in the game. Removing the price cap would simply create an inflationary situation that would make it impossible for a newer company to even play, much less compete, unless they produced only power AND larger companies would no longer find it cost effective to buy power and would all start making their own.
... so THEN you would have an huge overabundance of power producers that would cause the supply to outweigh the demand... thus the price would drop anyways. Keeping the price cap in place allows players to exhibit some creativity when they are setting up their companies and to keep the game interesting and fun (it IS just a game remember).
Good luck and happy building!
