This game is crazy!

Post by Guest » 04.12.2007, 19:54

I spent like 5 months steadily going from Merchant to Manager (might have taken a long time, but I haven't spent 1p on this game yet!), and then I'm only a manager for about a week - maybe 10 days, before I'm a Entrepreneur.

Now with 30 million profit a day, I am climbing around 5 places in the FA charts per day.

It's like you're treading water for ages and suddenly BOOM! can't spend it fast enough! I've just bought 170,000 steel from the NPC to expand 2000m2 tonight. Something I couldn't imagine doing last week.

same here. after i expanded my buildings and got everything in order I went from top300 to top80 in like no time. then top40 took a while and staying there now is quite hard.

i am in a group of companies around the top 200 mark and we have all been there for a while, im 215 at the moment but its hard to move out of it. and you don't want to retain too much cash for fear of levelling up and being charged more for everything, so everyone is continually expanding.

wel its obvious you grow faster the bigger you get
1 think i am wondering though? how is it possible to have a 30 mil income a day with only 100mil in assests?

i have 300 mil in assets and only make like 56 mil a day without taking the production and contract cost of it......

Yeah - but each level is twice the size of the one before, so it should be steady surely?

If you want to be in top 10 fixed assets, this is what you should do.
Build joineries and produce wardrobes to sell in your furniture stores. Keep expanding your furniture stores and buy some wardrobes from other players to sell in your furniture stores.
Do the same with jewels factories and jewelers.
Do the same with wells and gas stations.
Good luck :)

I do the wardrobe thing already - not into the whole jewel market at all though. I'm in the wardrobe and contest market!

I'll make my way eventually into the top 40!

The easy way into the top 40 is to buy coins, 1000s of coins, using real money. That or play for so long that the players above you give up.

Well to me, that's cheating. Big players that buy coins to fund their premium account and send the odd fax is fine. But buying coins to sell is such an advantage it's cheating. I'm going to do it the proper way (that is wait for the big players to retire!!)

sooner or later we ll all be even anyway coz of the 32 000m2 building cap. or at least between 15-20 billion in assets is the max you can get so CMB isnt far off.

32,000 m2 that will take a long time to get all your buildings like that so I don't think it will happen to fast...

Not only crazy, but ultimately, a little futile and pointless. Don't get me wrong; I love a game that isn't about killing monsters in a Mideval or sci-fi setting, but...

After laboriously setting up supply chains so I could supply myself with raw materials, I found out just yesterday that you cannot come out ahead doing that. There's no point to producing your own power and water, or producing your own stone and wood for expansion.

As someone pointed out in the other Kapi forums (Kapi Regnum), if you produce your own raw materials, it only looks like you're saving money because you're giving up the profit you would make on the market otherwise. If you sold the raw materials you make at market price AND purchased the raw materials you needed at market price, you would break even.

For example, suppose you sell gas through a gas station. Should you get a factory and produce your own gas from oil, would that save money or increase profits? If it does, it means you're in the "wrong" businesses. You should not have gas stations and instead just have factories.

In the real world this doesn't happen because costs are different; in Kapi, however, buildings cost basically the same.

You must be doing something wrong then? I'm now making around 35mil a day.
12.5m in shops, 11m in excess Q10 steel, about 3m in excess Q8 wood, and about 10m in excess Q9 Wardrobes. (gross)
