I was wondering if filling a store with Ads has a effect before you put in the whole 40K ads points.

e.g does filling a store with 20K of ads decrease your selling time at all, or does it need the full 40K to have an any effect?

P.S : does 40K worth of ads roughly half your selling time?

Thanks Puzzman

every unit decrease the time. 40k is max, and you need half time to sell the complete stuff in store.

Yes, it definitely has a noticeable effect without the full 40k ads. I have 3 stores: one with 1500 ads, the second with 9000 ads, and the last with no ads. I can't say how it affects selling time since I price my goods so that all three stores finish at the same time.

I'm selling gas, and in the store with 1500 ads, I can price it about 0.25 higher, and in the store with 9000 ads, I can price it about 1.25 higher than the store with no ads. I should calculate the percentage because the price difference seems to get smaller the cheaper I price, and greater the more expensive I price.

I'm also noticing it will take about a month for the 9000 ads I bought to pay for themselves. My stores are 500 m2 each, so I'm not buying more ads until I expand them considerably. In bigger stores, I'm sure the payback time will be less.

Thank You :)

Any chance you have some rough figures?

e.g 10K 10% less selling time
20K 20% less
30K 30% less
40K 40% less

or is linear?

Thank You.

As stated above, 40k ads double the selling speed, so it

Thank you all :)

I just bought 20K worth of ads and here the results
Amount Selling time^
0K 2m.56s
1K 2m.52s
11K* 2m.9s
12K 2m.6s
13K 2m.3s
14K 2m.0s
15K 1m.58s
16K 1m.55s
17K 1m.53s
18K 1m.50s
19K 1m.48s
20K 1m.46s

This suggest dimishing returns will the profit maximise being 15K worth of Ads as these will cause a 33% fall in selling time for only 37.5% of the total cost. Compared to 50% fall for 40K, 40% for 20K#
^ Error of plus/minus 1 second
*Accidently put 10K worth at once.
# To be confirmed

Miscellanous info:- Average selling time taken from total sale time of 750 units. Sale time reset before ads were entered (e.g no effect from change in stats page)

elwood -- Thanks, I hadn't thought of it that way.

Puzzman -- It sounds reasonable that ads would have a diminishing return. I'll try it myself with larger amounts (i.e. hours to sell).

Can I have a go?

adds = reduced selling time
40k = 50%
30k = 32.5%
20k = 25%
10k = 12.5%
1k = 1.25%
0k = 0%

Is this right?

I tried adding 1,000 advertisements at a time and seeing the selling time effect. I was selling 10,000 Gas q7 @

Does that really matter?

Currently the price is at 34/point. To fill the store with 40k ads cost 1.360.000 caps. And it has the same effect on the store than doubling the size of the store. So, every store above 100m
