Sub-Companies

Post by Guest » 14.08.2007, 07:12

Depending on the extend of which the programmers take this if they accepted this, it could have various disadvantages.

1. Be able to create sub-companies, like for example you walk into Wal-Mart and you dont want to have to look through the whole store for one thing, you want organization, so the store is split into areas like home and garden, clothing, food, gaming, etc etc.

So you can create like, lets say you want to create a whole crap load of power, but dont want to rename your company something like "Electrified Sales"

So you create a sub-company with that name.

And when you start up a sub-company, it does not go through the tutorial, or give you bonuses, and it will not add to your score, and you can still only have 60 buildings total if your non-premium..

Let me know what you think guys and gals.

This could be interesting. However, we have administration buildings that can do this for you if you are a premium player.

Did you read what I wrote? IT would be impossible to cheat, because all your really getting is more organization. You dont get any more resources, buildings, money etc etc

Organization while running any type of company is key. If you had, lets say, 10 plantations, 20 power plants and 5 wells, you would want to have a name like "Kapiland Fruit Growers" because then it would seem odd that you are selling power and oil. It would make it alot better for your company to have 1 name like "KapiMart" and then have sub-companys like "KapiMart Oil Suppliers"

Not only will it help because when people see that kind of name that relates to a product, they think that that person will continue selling items at that price, otherwise, with one general name it will seem like a 1 time thing and people may not buy.

Why add more names? You only need one company name. This doesn't add anything usefull to the game only time for programmers that could be doing something better.

Then don't name your company with a relation to one certain product :)

I have "corporation" at the end for just that reason.

We have the option already to select to just look at certain types of buildings from the production screen.
