Complaint About A Fellow Kapilander
I've posted this topic on the TIB forums (which has been up for about 3 weeks now), and contacted Typhoon, but nothing has been done about the problem below:
"Today, I badly needed money, so I sold 100K of water via a contract to a company named: xxxxx XXX. The only problem was that I forgot to enter a price, and my water was sold to him at 0.00. When I request him to please send my water back so that I can resend it to him, he replies with the words: esse, and plese repeatedly until I question him whether he can speak English. After he tells me he speaks Portugese and starts talking in Portugese, and I start using Babel Fish to translate. When I do translate his messages, I discover that he refused to give me back my water, and was trying to get me to buy 1000 steel at 135.
When I explained to him how to send stuff via a contract, he started to mock me repeatedly, even though I asked him politely (In Portugese) to stop.
Due to this, I lost 10K caps, which I badly needed, since I need to start my next batch of wood.
I would suggest to never do any business with him again."
I understand that 10 caps is nothing, but for a small company like me, it's a large amount.
I don't want my money back, but I want a fail proof system or atleast a much easier recovery method for my other honest, fellow Kapilanders.
Thanks a lot for reading this post, and please do not send me any cheaply priced things as reimbursement.

*Slaps Forehead and Counts to 1,000,000 to relieve anger* I have already contacted Typhoon, but he hasn't done anything about it. So, please read the top of my message, think about it, and stop taking spelling classes at the illiteracy school (jk).Dreamcatcher wrote:so he could undo it....think furtherInvuse wrote:Please read the top of my message first.Dreamcatcher wrote:In fact the transfer was illegal (you slod below your prod price), so try to contact tycoon orso
Re: Complaint About A Fellow Kapilander
It's already a 2-step process to send contracts to other people. If you slow down and take the time to review what you're sending before you click the execute button, that will avoid a lot of mistakes.Invuse wrote:...I want a fail proof system or atleast a much easier recovery method for my other honest, fellow Kapilanders.
What do you want, a 3rd step that says "Are you really sure you want to send this?" Then we'd have people complaining that it takes too many click to send their contracts.
2 steps is plenty, and those people who are just clicking on things without really paying attention to what they are sending...well, I can't feel too much sympathy for them.
Now, what I WOULD support is something that was just suggested in another thread, the refusal of the system to recognize contracts that are sent with a value of 0. Since there are no products that cost 0 to produce, and anything sent to another player for less than production cost is considered cheating, there are really NO valid reasons for a contract to be priced at 0. It seems like this would be a fairly simple rule to program.
But, you are not the one SENDING the prize.
What we are talking about here is people who SEND the product for 0. It was HER/HIS problem that (s)he send the contract for 0.
If we had some kind of system that didn't allow contracts to be sent for 0.00, besides the gift status symbles, then this topic wouldn't be here.
