As some of you know, I work as a php programmer, and im not exactly sure if this is a bug, and by any means, the potential of it is fairly limited, but it seems something I should draw to your attention.
I was creating power when i typed 9 in by accident, meaning to use the shortcut key for 99,999,999. I noticed that (and quite right) it finished instantly, which drew my attention to the speed of the production itself.
I worked out that at 0.00543 seconds per unit, i could produce 153 units per second, so i wondered what would happen if the time taken was less than one second?
So i produced 152 units of power, which finished instantaneously, then I hit f5 and enter at the same time, due to my fast internet speed and the speed of your servers, i worked out that using this method, I can produce 456 units of power per second, instead of just 152.
I have done some preliminary tests, and I am not sure yet if it is miscalculation on my part or an actual bug, but I thought I would draw it to your attention.
Obviously, the implications of this for me are very small, an extra 0.8 caps per second is nothing to me, but to a new player, who set there computer to auto refresh across 5 or 6 browser tabs? they could make 4 caps per second whilst sleeping, which works out to:
240 caps per minute.
1480 caps per hour.
So over 10,000 caps whilst they sleep, which would be a large advantage.
Anyway, if this turns out to be nothing, sorry for wasting your time.
Regards,
Unity
P.S. If it is, who do i send the extra 6k power to?
Potential time bug found
