There's plenty of players that choose the NPC instead of the players at that point, just to 'boycot' the players' high price.

I think those that buy from the NPC instead usually go for larger amounts. If I need 500 million stone and all the market has is contracts for a few million stone at a time. I usually buy from the NPC to save me time. Unless I need to save the cash.

Speaking of 500 million stone... I just put 500 million stone on the market for 26.99c. Let us see how long that takes to sell.

and if you place in the market big amounts (bigger then 100m) your offer has bigger chance being bought, as many are too lazy to buy the 100m npc offer few times (if they can buy your in one :D)

Most people buy from the NPC- there is no being nice to companies worth more than a few hundred million in fixed assets in this game really. Once you're above that level you're on your own and have to look after yourself.

so if you have an npc selling for 27per and a player selling 27per you'll buy from the npc? that's not nice.

No, it's business strategy and "kapi"talism. ;)

Why should you finance your concurrence when you get unlimited amounts at the same price from the NPC?
That's what I do, too.

I could buy wood and steel for my wardrobes from other players. I did so in the past but didn't even get the half of my needs. Thus I moved to the NPC, pay the same price and get what I want whenever I want. I don't need any warehouse capacities as I can simply buy it when I need it.
I know that I only get Q0 from the NPC but that's absolutely okay... that's why I research. ;)
When I started my great expansion I also did not get enough stones at fair prices... and thus I bought from the NPC. And beside the idea of "concurrence": It is a fair way to reduce the inflation a little bit.

But this is something everyone needs to think of on his own. For me it's the only working solution.

Well, you don't need much help with all that money, help is only needed for a fast early growth.

well.... If you ask me,
If you're a producer of an npc product, you can easily find someone that will buy your products for max price.
I never have/will sell a product If I can find someone who will buy for more (even if it takes some time)

when I buy an npc product I prefer to buy from a player then from the npc, because I know that if I buy from the npc, someone else will buy from him, so it doesn't metter, only helps him get the money faster.

Most people won't resell raw materials, they will use them for expansions.

My take on this is that the need for the funds raised should determine the selling price.
For example if the money generated from the sale is just going to sit in your account, then sell for the npc price. If you need the funds to finance your next production run then put them on the market for a price that will be snapped up immediatley.
Remember this is a business game and you should at all times be doing what is best for the business.
