Win Luxury car from Celtne! (Realm 2) [closed]

This Give away prize has ruined the contest no-one is putting in any products to the contest to get this elusive prize. There is about 30 people who have only given in 1 product, all probably in hope of winning this luxury car. It will turn into luck whoever gets #101 as everyone is only sending in 1 product. Bit of a shame. I personally think stuff like this should be banned as it makes the contest a bit boring, dull, dry and less active. The price Of units is falling ( I Think) reducing significantly the profit of the contest companies and probably harming there business. I cant wait till the end of this forsaken contest and get back the old style of contests were people actually sent in more than 1 product. This has been a waste of a contest.

Ironically, Celtne even has a 1 count, and is #96 on Realm 2. If anyone put 2 units in, they'll never have a chance to win it.

Ya, this contest is a bust. By now there should have been someone with 1 million units, with all the joinery crazed builders we have here in the game.

maybe he was waiting for expensive contest item to slow down profit for this contest item sellers, because now contest item is not bought that much as it would be without this special prize. Anyway I`m not trying to win that luxury car because I don`t care it, I`m doing the regular contest as it is always.

Yes, I sent one product for checking. If my company somehow take 101 place at the end, prize will go to the next contest.

alot of players buy contest items :/
some try to get the car but most preffer coins or medals because you can sell coins/medals

I beg to differ...if 99% were now producing wardrobes the stats would have changed dramatically with a huge increase in price as supply would have dropped significantly.Yes there has been a slight increase in selling price in stores but not a huge increase.
With Beds in the 5 to 6000 range and buying "some" of the needed materials off the market the profit margin is only slightly higher than Wardrobes of Good Quality.If all of the ingredients need to be purchased for Beds the profit margin is less.
5 Q0 wood=375
5 Q15 steel=1250
3 Q0Textiles=3000..........total 4625 not counting power/water/prod cost
Compare that to your Wardrobes cost/selling price

I'm sure you know MANY wardrobes producers, that now still produce wardrobes, thought they can produce beds and get a bigger profit

unfortunately i only found out about this after the contest, but Celtne, what a great idea, it's always nice having something random and different to make the game a little different for a fortnight.

as to the complaints about it affecting price, to keep myself intersted in the game i have factories in lots of different areas so i can produce and sell contest products and probably make between 500 mill and 1 bill a contest (depending on the product) so have been watching the prices of goods. the first 48 hours the price is always high as people start high, obviously, but the price usually crashes after that and settles at a lower price for the next 10 days then in the last day as people come in to see how high they can get the higher priced products get bought. this contest it went right back past the initial amount.

if you want to make a bigger profit you have to store you goods till nearer the end and make an educated guess as to what it will rise back to and pitch at that price. it's not a contest like celtne did that affects the price, it's an initial over inflated price that gets everyone's hopes up.

and as for profitability, each contest is, thankfully, different. i make my own textiles and i bought some befor ethe price went loopy on them so i was producing beds at around 2000caps usually making at least 4000 caps profit and on some 5500caps. i make about 2000caps at the momennt on my wardrobes so for me it was a winner. if there's an auto product contest though, i'm stuffed.

And finally, hats off to the devs for finally making something different with the secret contest and the secret amount (i preferred the secret amount as it offered more tension, the secret contest is secret very briefly).

Hope you have more ideas: not sure if it's doable, but it would be nice if half way through the contest, the product changed completely as perhaps big players being able to produce a good themselves will suddenly find their leading advantage altered. Anything for variety really

No people sent in 1 to check what the hell the contest item was!

I didn't see this till after the contest ended but I sent in one on Realm 1.
Also that was an expensive product so people's numbers weren't gonna shoot up as fast as with a cheaper product like oil, sugar, wine-etc.
