Research Costs

OK, so I haven't done any research yet, but I just hit the Retailer level and figured its about time I get started. So, I'm just impatient. Can some give me a general idea of how much the research costs? I imagine they are all different, but lets say just oil, coal, and iron ore, researched in a red zone or green zone for the first couple of quality points. Thanks in advance.

Pretty cheap. Below 20,000 until quality 7. Far as I've noticed, all cost are the same, no matter the product. Think the price doubles for every quality level. Never gave it much thought.

all these are done in a red area - i have no idea if any other areas are differnet ... but u prolly shouldnt build anywhere other than a red area if u plan to research lots

(times are all done with 2 scientists in the red area)

Q0-1 = 50 -- 1h 12m
Q1-2 = 400 -- 4h
Q2-3 = 1350 -- 11h36m
Q3-4 = 3200 -- 26h24m
Q4-5 = 6250 -- 50h48m
Q5-6 = 10800 -- 87h12m
Q6-7 = 17150 -- 138h

Wow, that's a lot cheaper than I expected. I'll definitely have to start working on that soon. I'm hoping to specialize in plastics using my own oil, so I'd like to go ahead and start getting my oil quality as high as possible. Looks like I can get to 7 for less than 40k, it jsut takes a while with 2E.
