Question about Quality

Post by Guest » 15.12.2007, 01:43

Hey all,

I have a little problem with my shops. In my production it says that I can produce goods at a quality of 4 (bananas).

I have set on my fruit plantation quality Level: 4 however it still produces bananas that are a level 1 quality.

Could someone help me out?

Cheers,

To produce bananas you need seeds + water, so you have to calculate the quality of every product you have to use divided by the number of "elements" you need.
So if you have bananas Q4, seeds Q0 and water (obviously :) ) Q0, the sum is 4+0+0 = 4 : 3 = 1,33 (you produce bananas Q1)

The formula is the quality of all materials (Research counts as a material) added together and divide the total by the number of materials used (including research).

I will use my Gas as an example.

Gas Q = (Q23 Research + Q12 Oil + Q0 Power) / 3 for three qualities added
Gas Q = Q35 / 3
Gas Q = Q11 2/3 and the Quality is always rounded down so the Gas is Q11

ah I see - so the quality of my materials used determines the quality of the produce?

Now I know what the problem is thanks :)
