final destination?

Post by Guest » 19.02.2007, 08:54

Hello!
I'm a newbie here, just finished tutorial game. And I wonder: where is the final destination of all goods? I see, that all users produce and sell gas, oil, furniture, computers and other, but who buys all this stuff? Who uses it?

if you sell them in a shop the habitants of that region buy it
and the players who buy from you some products they ussualy sell in their stores
if they buy sttel, stones, water, power, seeds the use them for construction and producing other products and then the sell theirs in the shops to the habitants from that region, more specific to the system

ok, as I understand, raw materials are used mainly for production of complex goods and for constructions, right? I see, that "Materials: 100 Stones 50 Steel 10 Wood" are used for all types of buildings.
And what about computers, furniture and other complex goods? What are they used for?

Do they buy only for selling? Does somebody use these products?

If you sell in a store, e.g. computers, they are sold to the virtual inhabitants of Kapiland. If you click onto the area infos of each country, you can see how many virtual inhabitants are there in the single country.

more inhabitants - more products they need?

Does the type of area reflect on the necessities? For example, if I try to sell sausages from pork in Saudi Arabia, I guess, I become a bankrupt. Or moreover inhabitants will kill me :)

I have found the answer myself:
In all areas essential is:
The demand for wares in the stores is directly dependent on the number of inhabitants. The more inhabitants the higher the demand.

lol
no, this has not been implemented into the game...

The demand in each country depends on how many inhabitants live there... and the number of inhabitants depend on the number of workers employed in that country. So the number changes, whenever somebody expanded a building or built a new one and hired workers...

Not exactly. The 6 raw materials are just the most commonly needed items. Wood, stone, and steel are needed for every new building or expansion. Power and water are needed to produce almost anything, and seeds needed for every plant (wood, oranges, apples, etc). But there are many other things that you can make that can not be sold in stores and are only used in making other things. For instance, oil is not a raw material, but it can not be sold directly to the Kapiland inhabitants and is used to make many different things.

To find out what you can do with each item, check the ingame help. There is a list of every item that describes where it can be made and where, if possible, it can be sold to the inhabitants. Additionally, each building will tell you what items it can make or sell. It is very important when you develop a product line to know where you can sell your product (either inhabitants through a store or other players on the market) and how much you can sell it for.
