Plantations producing wood right now return about 33% on investment without any expansion to them.

Power in green will make about 10% I think.

As will coal and oil, or slightly less right now.

There's gotta be some that make more but require more capital than you have handy at the start.

If you want to maximize profites you should work in: oil, gas, wardrobes or leather jackets. Steel can earn you money but it takes a lot more buildings and research.

You should invest in what you find interesting.

Steel is a good bet because everyone will need steel always. I don't think demand for it will ever be satisfied. The disadvantage is that steel takes coal, iron, chemicals and power to make, which is a lot of products to buy starting out. The returns would be above average if you build in green, however, the cost of products is quite high.

If all you're looking for is riches, I suggest building a whole lot of plantations and making wood. This will net a 33% return on investment for each plantation right now, however, this will diminish if you expand them. So keep them at 20m2 for awhile, and use the income to fund another enterprise (or, if you're having fun with plantations, build a research center for seeds and wood and start upgrading the plantations).

An upgraded plantation should see a 10% roi with current prices.

That's true, but i started with steel from the beginning and i never bought a single iron ore, coal, mineral or chemical   :!:

and research ?? i'm researching it, but i keep on making steel Q0 ! I don't see any advantage of making steel Q+ >>>> look at the prices; they don't pay that much more for Q steel...

What gives the better price, market price-10% commission or what ever the faxes are asking for.

you need a mine, factory and power plant (not nessecary) for steel. I've two mines, a well, a factory and a power plant and i'm making good money! you can sell your gold for 85+1,5q to J.inc aand steel is always expensive so that will help you!

back when i started about 3 days after the English version of kapilands i was told by S-G Fairtrade that the best thing to do would be build 1 power plant in green area, 1 well in yellow area, and 1 gas station in red. and thru this advice i have become what i am today =)

if you would rather save time, you could just build a power plant, and a well, and just expand the well + 30 sqm. and sell the oil on market.

then later when you make a bit more money start researching oil and get up the quality.

well, i thru my two cents in, lol.

gas is definitely the best way to start. You dont need to invest much and get instant profit to expand. Just build 2 gas stations, 2 wells, 2 factories and a chemical RC, well RC and u re good to go. Remember that the way u make the most profit is to totally ignore the market and produce all your products yourself (power, oil, water) and later when u expand u can produce stones and wood. I buy steel from the NPC at 135 since it just t akes too much effort to produce.
