Sales

Post by JoseLopes » 29.06.2007, 23:03

I'm not english so i'm sorry for my bad writing.
I read somewhere that we could sell our products to non-human people. For example i have 50 chairs, i checked the supply and demand list and i saw that, in germany, demand was higher than supply. so, i can i sell my products to that non-human people? is it enough to build a sale building or do i have to do anything else?

You got it right. To start to fill that demand, all you have to do is sell them in your German furniture store.

And is it enough to build it? If so, what happens to my chairs? they must start disappering and i must start earning money right?

Basically when you sell goods to non-human people you have to expect that this goods tend to disappear. :)

The good thing in kapilands is that you earn money in the process.

After you build the store, you can go in to the store (much like you go in to a producing building).

The game will ask you how many chairs you want to load up, and what price you want to sell them at. Then it will tell you how long it takes until all those chairs are sold. And you can adjust the price until the time is close to what you want.

Ok. Thank you. My last question: in countries with higher spending capacity goods tend to be sold faster, right?

Spending capacity is all about the price. You will get a much better profit from selling things in red. Things sell really fast if you set a price just over your production cost. For maximum profit you should set a high price.

While playing I had this doubt: when i am selling my goods i'm informed, apart from other aspects, that my store as no reputation at all. How do I make my store most widely known?

Thank you.

YOur store will be known by more people if you will fill it with ads. But before you will buy them please find here some threads about them. It is important to know exactly what you are doing with ads. It ain't that simple....

Here is a recent thread on the subject
Advertisements are expensive. It costs the same to advertise whether you have a huge store or a tiny one. So you should likely wait until your store is larger before worrying about that.

I got a Question, since this was being brought up,
So you should likely wait until your store is larger before worrying about that.
How large is large before a person start to advertise?

As you obviously did not folow Knolls first link, here is a cut and past ;) lol

[quote]Advertising works in points per store. Each ad is worth 1 point, plus another point per quality. So those q16 ads are wirth 17 points.

Advertisements are used once per store, and the effects last forever. It takes 40,000 points for your store to get "known by 100% of the population." At this point your sales will roughly double - that is you will sell the same amount at the same price in about half the time.

Although you can keep putting ads in a store after 40,000 points, they have no effect. Ads in one store won't care if you change products, but won't be able to help out any other stores.

Since a full set of 40,000 points costs about 2,000,000
