getting money from shops

Gurus,

Hello, long time reader first time questioner. I have read a couple of times on here, and my blond secretary has also reminded me to get money from my shop. How do I go about this? Or is it automatic?

Open your sales tab and click on the status figure (it is blue). Cash will be removed from your store and then you can spend it. Are you already doing this?

To begin with you're better off just building new buildings. You can have up to 60, so you won't run out of space any time soon. Expanding uses a lot more steel, wood, and stone than building a new one does, so until you can afford or make a decent supply of them, it's best not to do too much building expansion.

One exception might be research facilities, if you get into that side of things, as you can't split a research between buildings, and the length of time it takes to research gets increases fast.
