Why are wardrobes so popular?

Here is enough space for all players to ask questions about the game.

Why are wardrobes so popular?

Post by Guest » 26.06.2007, 01:31

Reading the faxes I have been struck by how many of the top players are in the wardrobe business. Why is this, as opposed to any of the other high-end products?

I prefer the road less travelled, but if it is as good a business as it's popularity would suggest, perhaps I should consider it?

It is a good business because the biggies buy them from smaller players at fair prices and resell them at high prices. This prevents flooding the market with goods sold by newbees at dumping prices and keeps the business line profitable.

This is one of the paradoxes of the weird retail market formulas of kapilands - it is more profitable to coexist in a market niche together with lot of big players than to find and exploit a niche where the demand is almost not covered by any supply.

If you put all your eggs in one basket, be prepared to sell eggs. If you have more than one basket, will more eggs be sold???
Only if both baskets contain eggs. :D

Seriously the profit will be good for beginners in wardrobe production. If the price tumbles who will loose the most money? I would think the wood growers.... but only per plantation.

Supply is nowhere near demand for wardrobes at the moment, unless someone is stockpiling them. :?

i dont think that what wardrobe price is good

if u have a joinery and buy all components
20 woods----for 35c------700c
5 steel------for 130c------650c
600 power --for 0.08c-----48c
and cost in red-------------18

= 1416c(now best price is that)

now any firm cant buy more this price

yes, like in the case of most processed products value is created by the quality you add with your research. Before you launch a wardrobe production make sure you are able to produce q3 at least, which can give you a decent profit already. Really nice profit comes from the higher grades of course.

This is not the product for the very beginners. But it is still much easier to product compared to leather jackets, TV sets or cars.

Well I make my own power, my own wood, steel and my joinery is in green. The total is 419. Sell them 1400 That a total of 981 profit!

981*100=98,100

So I think its a great business to go into!

You but if you make all yourself , you gotta think
* if i sold erything appart , insteed of making wardrobes , what would be the sale price *
And thats +-1400
So you still have low profit cuz you could have sold evrything appart

I am thinking of producing wardrobes from scratch and build a store to sell them in.
Where would be a good place to have that store?
And what about research? I can't seem to find out how to research furniture.

Have a look in the help pages. Find the wardrobes and you will find that you need a Technical RC.
