OIL VS GAS

Why are people buying OIL much more expnesive than GAS ?
Gas is the END product of oil , so shoukd cost more no?
I figured out that maybe they buy oil and make gas for themself with bigger Q's cuz they have high gas research but...is it ?
I need some help to clear this up

there is a ? on your top rigth part of the game, if you press it you will find this in one of the buttons:

Gas
elements:
0.2 hl Oil
5 kWh Power
produce:
Factory
sell:
Gas station
research:
Chemical RC

I know -.- I'm making gas myself -.- but thats not the question -.-
The question isnt : HOW dO I MAKE GAS ?
BUT : ARE MY SUSPIIOUS RIGHT (I figured out that maybe they buy oil and make gas for themself with bigger Q's cuz they have high gas research but...is it ? ) ABOUT THE FACT THAT GAS IS CHEAPER THAN OIL ?

with one oil you can make 5 gas.
Take the oil price and divide it in 5.
1/5 oil costs less than one gas.
