So , I know , that if yo sell yor research , it will drop to q0 , but , if for example i have q10 on seeds , and a buy a q12 of seeds wil it be 12 or 22 ?
And the other way , if i have q12 on seeds and i buy q10 wil iet by q10 , 12 or 22 ?

If you have q 10 and you buy q12 you have only q12. The q10 research is lost. It's better to sell it before buying higher research so it makes you at least some money.
I'm not sure what happens when you buy lower quality than you already have but I guess nothing. You just pay for the lower research and it disappears leaving you with higher quality.

Actually I think a lesser reserach will straight-up replace a higher one if it comes in later. For example, if you're researching q7 seeds and they you buy q15 while the research is going on, you will have q15. But then as soon as the research finishes it will be "updated" to q7.

There's a post by Tycoon about that somewhere around here. So be very careful about that.
