Hello... just want to say i have enjoyed this game a lot. i have been playing about 2 months now or so.
Iwatched my family play it and decided to give it a try. I read the forums. I looked at the market and saw the price of power and decided to do a power plant. i decided to charge .06 to see if i would profit... all others charged more on the market at that time. Every unit i placed sold so rapidly i was able to purchase another power plant. I decided not to do contracts so i could get my money sooner and that worked great for me.
Soon i had to upgrade the sizes of my plants and i am amazed at how fast this works. My profits have been great and i have dabbled in producing and selling other stuff but i always come back to selling power lol. I even leveled up ... wow.

If you charged 10 cents for your power you could have built 2 additional powerplants instead of 1, I never understood why people sell so much below the average market price, business is not charity after all...

i think orval meant 0.1 and this sounds exactly like me, i Joined: 10 Apr 2007 and started making power, and now i make between 1.5-2 million a day. I have 60 power plants, 5 at 450m2 and the rest at 30m2 (p.s. i would recomend selling power at i higher price, selling that low could cause everyone to sell that low and we might have a market crash

)

yes i know more money is fun but i was just testing to see if it would work selling the product at the cheapest price and it did for me. I am new at this and still reading up on it. i see steel being sold at q0 for higher than the non player bot sell for ... 135. i just buy from the 135 in game seller bot if i need steel. i dont see how others can make more money off steel at q0 unless others forget that at the bottom of the list is that one. i am now selling my power for more than .06 cause i found out that some buy off others really cheap to resell themselves which is all good i think. Each gets what they want.

I sell mine at .06 Caps, and sometimes I sell at .05 in bulk. I have to do this in order to stay competitive with the larger companies, which can sell and make way more than I can.
I want to raise the price, but I'm afraid of loosing customers.

try the market, i sell all my excess power at 0.10 everyday, and get away from those leeching 0.05 buyers, you are only hurting your growth by selling so low.

i sell at the market and i usually go for a bit less than the others just to sell a bit more quickly. Say some are at .10 so i put in one at.09 and watch it disappear before i load another one. But i also have some at .10 that i place and let ride until bought. Profits are there even if you pay the 10% at the market ... when i first started i started a .06 for power and all were way higher but i did it so it would sell fast for me. I would let out little spurts of 1000 by 1000 cause my plants were small but they took off really fast. It was a test to see if i could make money selling power cheap and it did work for me. Of course now i sell at .09 and .10 ... still dont do contracts except for one and now am at small businessman level.
All this by just selling power... i now own other producing companies and a few different types of stores... trying to find the key products that make the $$$ in each type of store. All of the fun is crunching the numbers and see how it goes.

I always sell my products at a higher price than the cheapest ones, because in that way you're maintaining the price of the product and not lowering it.
If people put his product a bit less, then there will be other that will do the same and the result of this is just lower the price (and the profit) of the product you're selling.
So my motto is:
Always higher than the cheapest

But won't it take you a very long time to sell your goods?

No, because I put them a bit higher but not too much.
For example, right now the cheapest Power is at 0.08 so I would put it at 0.09 (not at 0.07). It may need a bit more time to be sold but if you don't need the money right now that's not a problem.
The raw materials (power, water, stones, etc) have a very high demand all the time so there's no real need to put them on the market at a lower price.

I see. But what if a bunch of companies are selling at 0.09 when you post at that same price?
