hi i was just woundering if someone could explain to me about status symbols and where can you get thm thanks

Everything you need to know about status symbols you can find in help tab in Kapilands. Having status symbols you gain points (thus increasing yur score

)...You can get them in special buildings (you will need Coins for that), you can get them form other players or you can win them in Kapitimes riddles or so. After you read this, read some more in the help tab in case I forgot something

From your Office menu, click "Coins", then on the link for Status Symbols. A list will pop up with their cost in coins. If you have the coins you can buy them there.

If there's more you don't understand you'll have to be specific.

Ah, now that your signature is showing I can say a little more.

I see you just made Trader, which I guess is why you started wondering about Status Symbols. I'd advise you not to worry too much about them for now - better to turn your resources into more production, grow bigger, and make more money, and one day later then buy the status symbols.

To build special (status) buildings you have to be Small Businessman rank, which is a net worth of 8,000,000

Well since you asked, I did notice that your top research is in Ads. Right now the going price for advertisements is about 50 / point. Each ad is worth 1 point + one for each quality, so with your q7 research you can make q3 ads, which would be worth 4 points and therefore sell for about 200. Since they definitely cost you more than this to make, you're going to need a much higher quality to get them profitable.

If you're producing some of everything, you should have at least some idea what's profitable and what isn't. It may also depend on what RC buildings you have and have started on. Tell us what your instincts are and we can give you some idea on how it should shake out for you.

Or you can send me an IGM in game if you want a detailed discussion without spelling out on the forum what all your researches and products are.

status symbols... are just "status symbols" they do not have any other effect than giving you score and, what is more for some people

a good looking showcase

But there are also people trading with status symbols: there are some, which won*t be available later on, they can be bought just now with coins. that means, they will raise in price...
And even the "normal" status symbols can be used for making profit...

I'm bumping this up for a reason, because I have my own question. For anyone who has played the German version and might know.

And this is referenced in game as "Special Sale" items (under Office -> Coins -> Status Symbols).

I wonder how long are these available before disappearing? I'm not asking for a date or anything specific, but are we talking a change every 6 months? More, less? And is there any warning before they disappear ... or even any announcement when they finally do?

no, there is no special/ fixed period of time they will appear or disappear... sry, that I cannot give you an exact reply to that...

Some of them could appear later again, some not. But there will be additional (permanent) status symbols in the course of time.

Just one more thing: as far as I know there will be no warning before they disappear...
