how do i sell them

You can sell it only to other players. So find yourself a buyer and sell it.

YOu have to get to your warehouse, in left side of the screen there is status-store button. Press it and you will see your contest certificate. Now you can sell it just like any other stuff.

I have no experience with it so I hope everything I wrote is right.

There's a forum for status symbol trade. See if you can't find a buyer in there.
