Average prices and qualities

Post by Guest » 23.04.2007, 12:55

Does anyone know by the chance what is the time interval of calculation of "Average prices and qualities" and the "Amount" in market stats. Is it last 24h or it is longer period?

So the averages used for formulas used by retail shops are recalculated only every 24h, or often?

Yes and no !

The calculation of the statistics runs only one time in 24 hours.

But the statistics do not base only on the last 24 hours.
On how many days the statistic calculation is based and if there are any mathematical adjustements that is a programers secret. But minimum the last three days or even more have a direct influence on the statistics.

can anyone confirm the one or the other version of the answer?

GregorPB is right: the statistics are being updated any 24 hrs. But this does not mean that the formular calculates on a 24 hrs basis.... ;-)

There is only one figure being updated through the day: this is the demand figure: Any employee hired in a new building or expanded building will increase the demand figure.

It could for example take the average of the last month or week... but the definite formula is being kept secret...

One, hopefully final question, just to make me sure/clear:

Does "Amount" refere to retail market turnover in a period that is 24h long (so basically it is an "average number of units sold daily in the last unspecified number of days")? Or it is turnover per hour?, per 72h?, per "unknown period of time"?
