Market prices and store prices are not really related. The market price is simply what the players decide is a fair price for a product.

The shop-price comes from a formula based on the Q of the product, the amount of advertisement in a store, the average quality of the product sold in the country where the store is located etc etc. More Advertisements in a store let you sell the same Q product for a higher price for instance.

If you want to see general statistics, click on the Stats link at the top bar, right side. There you can toggle the different countries to get an idea of what shop prices are.
Shop prices are generally much lower than what's on the market and kapi people will almost always complain even if you set sales price to raw cost (no profit). But with time, as you produce better quality, you can increase prices.

...and welcome to the game and the forum.

Well, Andro, this does often not only apply to the kapilanders, but also to some players... 8)

So never forget, this game is called "KAPIlands" not "WELFARElands" when players start calling you "greedy", your going the right direction...
