Sales Buildings - expansion and more stock room

Post by Guest » 17.07.2010, 09:15

hi all
just expanded my new gas station, and the storage room has remained the same !
i assume then, that the only purpose of expansion is to employ more people to shift the goods quicker ?

The more you expand a shop/store the more pieces of one product you can put in it. The amount that can be filled in raises with the rising shop/store size. I am sure you mixed something up. :)

You can additionally hire new workers, then you can sell more and faster.
You can also just expand a building and then just put as much products as before into it, but not hire new workers, then you will be able sell faster, too. Yet the effect is less than expanding and hiring new workers. :)

Have you hired the new employees? Until you do the sales rack won't increase in size if I remember right.

when i build ti gas station (20m2) it had shelf space for 5000
i expanded to 100m2 and it still had 5000 shelf space after hiring new workers.
i'll expand again and see what happens
thanks for your help

Sorry, NYK, that I have to disagree, but the store rack-sizes depends only on the expansion. Expanding a building leads to a raise of the rack-sizes.
Employees "only" increase the sales-speed. :)

@ m0pdq: Please check the sales rack calculator on www.kapitools.de. :)
You can see that a gas station with 20 sqm has got a rack of 1,000 units; a 100 sqm-gas station has then a rack of 5,000 units.
So everything is correct - it was just a small confusion. ;)

Yes thinking about it that was what happened with mine, I had one with a way longer sales time just after expansion and it was when I added the employees it reduced the time the rack was the right size.
