Gas or Oil?? (And Oil prices)

Post by Guest » 20.02.2010, 01:34

Hi i was wondering if it is more profitable to make gas (sell to market) or sell oil...

if making gas is it smart to produce your own oil?

also how much can you sell 300m2 wells in yellow zone and 1200m2 wells in yellow zones

i have no idea how much i should sell my Q23 Oil for...in contracts and on the market.

Currently im selling it on the market for 95c but i will raise to 98c next time i sell....even at 75+23... i would make more money making water than oil..
What price should i be selling it for?

I am guessing you are on Realm2. Gas production is a good cash earner at low q so is a good buisness but need good Oil suppliers. Oil is best sold on Realm2 at 75+q, the price most gas makers pay. The oil vs water profitability is constantly changing so you have to work it out yourself, though personally with low tech water is better. You also have to remmber that there are alot of high quality Oil producers, which can be difficult to compete with, though my favourite thing about Oil is that you can get all the materials needed for it from the NPC, power.

Making your own Oil for gas is sensible when smaller but as you grow you need more Oil than your wells can produce and wells take longer to expand. Though there are a few major Gas producers which make moxst of their own Oil, better use of slots speciallising in Gas production and if you want Gas retail.

you should be selling for a more premium price for higher quality oil like 23??? if so what is a suitablee price the buyers would be willing to pay?

Also for one hour of production would oil or gas bring more profit?
