What is a good growth rate?

Post by Guest » 28.09.2009, 22:16

Since I started the game, I have been keeping track of my growth in company value, daily profits, etc.

I have been playing for eighteen days and have been growing at an average of 12-13% per day.

In 18 days, my company value has risen to around 5.5 million caps.

I want your advices on whether this is too slow, or slow? And if I really want to grow fast and become big, what should I aim for in my growth percentage?

Also, if you don't think I should try to aim for a growth percentage, what do you suggest I should aim for?

there's no such thing as a growth rate... (atleast i think so)
as long as you grow, its good.

for someone who started not long ago,
a grow rate is his buildings
how many and what size
the more, and the bigger, the more money you make...
buy new buildings, and expend em :)

have fun.

Which is also the growth rate, or the rate of the growth, or the change in company value relative to time.

Anyone?

I don't know of any real set of growth rules.

On Realm 1, since April I have grown 49.90% from 9.703.639.063,00

I mean daily growth, what do you think is a good DAILY rate for a newbie.

Obviously a 12-13 % daily growth rate is WAY to high for a big player.

yes indeed
at small stages you should think at going in contests and with money you have buy raw materials. After you get a a nice stock of raw materials build as many buildings as you can and upgrade them to a fair size.
This is best way to grow fast. in first 2 weeks you will stay small but after you finished contesting you will have your desired buildings and business

Hope this helps

the growth rate depends a lot on what stage are you at. and the realm you are in. in r1, in the beginning when you are not expanding yet, just buying new buildings, i think you should be able to double your company value in about three days. after that it becomes gradually slower, at company value of about 300mil you can still double it in 30-40 days. after that the expansion times kick in and stuff and it becomes very painful to expand :D

You'll grow very rapidly early on doing contests, buying buildings, etc etc. When you get larger it becomes harder to find large buildings to buy, and upgrading takes a long time.

for me its fixed assets / 10

so i am 4,061,250.00 caps in fixed assets.

so i want to make 400k a day.

of which 350k is spent on building/expansion

you can stay with fixed assets 0, and have lots of money... and keep making more :) (first sell coins, and then re sell products, buildings, CC or whatever :))

Half right, half left.

You need 75k fixed assets to buy products from market and sell via market . 80k to receive and sign contacts.
0k to send contracts.

So you couldn't win a contest.
Only coins.

And for the buildings thing you would need steel wood and stones in the warehouse. no-one would do it.

k...
get 80k and then party :)

i was talking about not building/producing/reasearching anything (it all adds to FA i think)
i ment like buy coins (not many) sell em to someone, then start reselling evrything you can resell
its a great way to make money (thought you'll need some to start with and here comes the first coins you sold)

i bought coins r1.

i sold 20 of them for 150 mio.
it messes around with your level changing your production :L

yea... higher level = less production... :)

you can postpone level upgrading by setting your mines and powerplants for example to produce as much stones or/and power as you possibly can, so you don't have too much cash when you sell coins.
production is not counted in how much you business is worth.
