"Call from the warehouse"

I just got a message saying that my workers in my warehouse found steel when cleaning. I don't remember the amount I had before, but I assume that this is some sort of free products from the system. I remember getting a message about 500 bananas last week.

Does this happen often, that we are given free products? Does this happen to everyone or only new players?
