contest cert. status symbols, special buildings

i still dont get these.
what are contest cert and status symbols, what for, how do i get it?
and i dont get special buildings, do i have to expand for each order to be executed?

Contest certificates are status symbols. Status symbols are items that give you points(score). Score is another toplist where people can compete against each other. It doesn't give you any real bonus.

Contest certificates, Gold medals, Silver medals and Bronze medals are won from the contests. They can be sold to other companies who want the score or kept.

Other Status symbols can be bought from the system for coins, 2 points per 1 coin, or from other players.

However, there are a few "gift" status symbols in the game that can ONLY be given away. A fee of 500c is charged to the player who gives the gift symbol away.

so do i have to rank top to get a competition cert, or do i just have to take part in a competition to get one??

top 20=2

and i doubt you will get 1st.

you mean it is generally very difficult to make it to top 100, for a new player like me? (im a wholesaler at the time being)

It is difficult but not entirely impossible to end up in the top 100 when your company is not big, it depends on the contest and what buildings you have, also some contests have few participants and others have more, so you need a bit of luck.

But I suggest you don't enter contests yet but just make a lot of caps by selling to larger companies, that is way better for beginners.

Don't bother to enter until you have a few hundred mil to spare. CC's sell for around 450mil nowadays so consider that when you enter a contest, how much other people are willing to pay!

Lots of large players put in large amounts of the contest product at the last minute to try and get a 450milcontest certificate and so in thier minds as long as they spend less than that it doenst matter... even if it's just 1mil less!
