Q127 is the max you can put into your production building's quality. (Making any higher research useless.) However, 255 is the max research quality late I heard. (From KapiTools)

It was moved up on te German servers as they reached Q127 and they wanted to make the race for top quality continue

ie seeds Q255 + Water Q0 = Seed Q127

Also it looks like Azer is near the old limit too!

No it doesn't. You can only set the quality in your buildings to 127. That makes having Q255 research useless outside of the TopList. Maybe, one day, they will increase the quality max in buildings and allow us to place 255 in them.

Just one hint, to research from quality 1 to quality 255 with a full expanded RC it will take 30 years.

i see myself in 30 yrs time aiming for the high lvl Q research to complete

its going to be funny
