What is a "normal" sales price for glass?
When I look at the market I see many different prices for glass.
For example: Q7 Glass is offered for 44 caps and also for 130 caps.
Q12 is offered for 110 and 80, Q15 for 170, Q16 for 150 etc..I see no logic or an average price I can use as a guideline and I have no idea what I should ask for my glass.
I don't want to undermine peoples offers by selling too cheap, but I also like to sell my glass fairly quickly for a reasonable profit..
Anyone has any experience with the glass business who can give me a tip?

The last contest product on realm2 is made from glass, so the price may go higher. I think it will go down soon.
I can suggest a very difficult way, but it may work:
- analyse products which require glass
- find sellers of these products on the market (try to select bigger players)
- offer them your glass, and you can find a stable customer for your production
Some big players don't read the forum, so you need to contact with them directly.

Yes and that is my problem, "what marketprice is at any given moment" . I can't see a marketprice at the moment that I can base my own price on.there is no "normal" selling price for glass on the market..or anything else for that matter. Its whatever the market will bear and give you a profit. Its a cut throat market and you price your product based on your costs( the usual way) and what market price is at any given moment.
Like stones for example, around 21/22 is an average reasonable price on the market right now, but glass price is extremely high and low for the same quality at the same time.
I often base my selling price by contract to customers on the average marketprice, but for glass there is no average price at all at the moment so maybe you are right(rasfast) and it is because of the last contest this happens.
I actually forgot about that.
Maybe I should wait until the market for glass stabilizes again.

The cheaper you sell the quicker the money is there,
but there will be less of it, so it all depends how much or how fast you think you need the cash.
A law in real life as in Kapiland: if you are poor you must sell what you have cheap - if you are well off, you can afford to ask for a higher price and just wait... So poor people remain poor, and the rich only get richer.

It seemes to me that glass is needed in 2 main types: Large scale needs such as electronics were hundreds of ks are needed every day and tiny amounts of super high Q needed for items such as golden watches were people are willing to pay huge sums because the costs per item are 10% on an object that sells for 10k+ The difference in price is huge with the top 3-4 producers selling for 3 times as much for a jump of 1-2Q that causes most people to sell somewhere inbetween causing odd pricings but it rearly sells quickly because the Q isent sufficent so they dump down low to undercut the market hence 2x offers at diff prices.

Yes that explanation seems very plausible Horizon Holdings.
I guess I will just do what felix does, count productioncost and add some profit and throw it on the market, and without looking for averages.
no sense in trying to make sense of the glass market the way it is now.
Thanks for all your replies.
