The goal - to become a car producer?

Hello!

I'm newbie in this game, but I want to select my strategy now, not after 5-6 months of different attempts. So, I have noticed that the most expensive product is a car. And I wonder, is the best strategy in this game to become a car producer? I.e. to build mines, wells, factories and other buildings to produce my own products and not to buy them on the market, and finally to make a car and sell it in my shop.
Is this right?

If yes, why do people build Jewels, Drugstore and other insignificant buildings?

How expensive a product is has nothing to do with how viable it is as a strategy. In fact, I believe the cost of the materials required to make a car are higher than any sane price that you can sell them at.

Products cost different amounts of money and time to make and sell. The bottom line is profit over time, not price of the product.

as of right now i dont think cars are werth making if ya rich and want to wast some money then make cars as it till take you a long time to sell one car to make a profit and it would only be little profit

Ok, I understand. But let's take an example:
1. product chain for making and selling cars
2. numerous power plants
(the total price of all buildings is the same)

In the first case I can make cars and sell them to inhabitants, and I don't care about other players, money goes right into my pocket.
In the second case I should find somebody else to buy all my power.

So, the only way to be independent is to build full product chain. But what is the best product for that?

well i make meny things now and i think my Wardrobes bring in the most money that is if you make everything to make them as i can make about 50% off each one it cost almost 800 to make one so that 800 for each i am makeing and can sell 40 at one time that there is 32k profit every day even tho i can sell about 200 a day but dont have the upgrades to do that as that would bring in 160k a day so if ya want to make like nothing off cars then let that be as everyone has there own way of doing things i just like my way

Cars are an awful product to start with. It's almost impossible to produce ALL the material needed to build a car, and unless you can, you will not make any money on cars.

The best product line I can think of, is leather jackets. Especially for the newbie player, because the entire production line is very profitable. You need cattle, which sell very high at market, make leather from the cattle and you can sell this for even more, and you need textiles which also sell very high at market, so as you are building your infrastructure, you can produce these things and sell off some at market to make a little money. Now, to grow cattle and make textiles, you will need a few plantations, the cheapest building in the game. The textile factory is the most expensive thing, and of course, the textile store... but once you have all the elements in place, you can make loads of money in a fairly short time.

Of course.... as a leather jacket producer myself, I would encourage you to continue trying other things and not compete with me!
