Gold medal

Look at it this way.
Realm 1
Contest Certificates sell for 34M per point
Status Symbols sell for 10M per point
A gold medal is 300 points so the price would run between 10.2B and 3B.
Realm 2
Contest Certificates sell for 4M per point
Status Symbols sell for 2M per point
A gold medal is 300 points so the price would run between 1.2B and 600M.

medal is still spelt wrong azer
And me well I don't think you lot are looking at it the right way, If someone had asked how much a fire opal was then sure you are but a gold medal. These are rare occurences...(Slowly getting more of them though
) and that is why CC's are worth more per point than normal status symbols.
There are 80+20+15+4+5= 124 CC's per contest... Then one Gold, Silver and Bronze medal's... So I think Gold medal's have more than just its 300point value to it.
Under my ideaology Medals(especially Gold's) shouldn't be traded as they are more of a mark of participation and effort and power than a mark of cash, but:
Realm 1= 6bil-10bil+
Realm 2= 2bil-3bil+

I see your point. However, that is not what happens. To this date two Gold metals have been put up for auction. Not one of them had a bid placed.felixbluindustries wrote:And me well I don't think you lot are looking at it the right way, If someone had asked how much a fire opal was then sure you are but a gold medal. The first was in Sept. 10, 2007 with a starting bid at 200M. (Normal status symbols where trading at 1.1M per point while CC's where trading at 3M per point.) The starting bid was lower than the status symbol buying points and it wouldn't sell.
The second was Jan. 24, 2009 with a starting bid at 15B. This time it was placed MUCH higher than status symbol and CC per point price and nobody bid on it.
The only thing you can get close to comparing was a Silver Medal that was auctioned on June 13, 2008. The auction started at 1B and the medal was sold for 2B. (CC's sold for 11.5M per point at that time.) As you can see, the medal sold for less than the CC amount and more than the status symbol amount per point. This is why I believe you don't get more for point for a Medal than a CC even though it is much more rare.
I agree with you 100% on that.felixbluindustries wrote: Under my ideaology Medals(especially Gold's) shouldn't be traded as they are more of a mark of participation and effort and power than a mark of cash
