Newbie questions!

Post by Guest » 08.11.2008, 13:06

Hi, I'm rather new to Kapilands...I think I joined around 1 month ago..
Well, I have some questions in mind now..
1. How many buildings can a company have?
2. I sell water only and I have around 5 wells and producing 500k+ water per day and I do have a constant buyer.. He says that he will buy water from me until I can produce 10mil... I was thinking...Is it better to build more wells or is it better to upgrade it?
3. Besides, I was wondering....Once I can reach 10m water...Should I change my products to oils? Is it more profitable?

1. 60 without premium, 100 with (you can get a premium account buy paying 2 euros a month)
2. Its better to get up to the 60building limit, then start to expand
3. Im not quite sure, but its more than likely more profitable to make oil, but you would have to research it.

on 3 it is more profitable to make oil(me thinks) thoguh it costs more and people either buy it at Q0 OR a higher Q (ie 10+) So if you ggo into making oil ever i would say build an RC now to start researching it.

Also the 60buildings(100 with prem) is all the poduction, sales and research buildings togetehr so if you do go into making oil i woul dbuild the RC now so you dont over shoot :)

Well,
If I'm not mistaken, research buildings and stores are counted as buildings too... So I'll have to save some slots from the 60 limit to make sure I can research oils...
Correct me if I'm wrong...=)

Talking about research,another question...
I'll only need 1 research building if I were to only research oil?
Is that so?

hello!
you can ssearch oil with only one building but it is better if you have two.
this is why while the one building conducts the research the other is expanded and the next research is done fastter.
the other option is research with one building, then spend some days expanding it and continue the research which is very time consuming

yes it is, but the best way to research (though more costly) is to build 2 Research buildings. Make 1 research oil (say it takes 5 hours to research to lv 1) and expand the other rc for 5 hours. Then when both are done, research Q 2 oil in the bigger rc and expand the smaller one. This will let you get higher research faster, although i don't advise doing this until you have a bigger cash flow.

The appeal of water is that it's always at q0, so you are just as good at it as someone who has been making water for 18 months.

Oil on the other hand has quality, and supplies, gas, which is all about quality. So if you want to be a major competitor in that, you'll want to build at least one Research for it.

So does it mean that oil is more profitable in a sense?

Water at the moment goes for 0,17 at the market, oil Q0 goes for 58 right now, (price goes up and down between 50 and 60, more or less)

the higher quality oil you have the higher price you can ask for it, unlike water, that has only Q0.

You make more water then oil in your wells,
If you have a well of 200 m2 in the yellow zone, level merchant, you can produce 6.545 oil Q0 per 24 hours, and 2.618.181 water per 24 hours.

6545 oil x 58 = 385410 caps
2618181 water x 0,17 = 445090,77 caps

So at the moment you would want to stick with the water and keep researching the oil until it has reached a qualitylevel that sells for more then water, then you switch to oil production.

You have to keep watching the market to check if for instance waterprices go down or up, and do a lot of calculating.

Expanding: I think you should always keep expanding at least one building of a production.

special buildings you unlcok at small businessman level and these basically store status symbols(which give you points) they themselves as buildings give you points and certain buildings give you tasks to do(such as delivering toys etc.) to earn points.

Points mean absolutely nothing but is a way for rich companies to show off and to spend their money :)
