Shared IP on another computer
I have my home computer.
I manage from that computer most of the time.
On thursday and friday, I manage from school and my gf's computer.
She has started playing Kapiland too, thought it looked interesting.
I know common IP's cant trade between themselves but what about my situation, where I use her computer only like 2 days per week?
Woudl the IP i manage from most often be considered my main IP??
We might decide to buy a mine and jewelry factory, 1 building each and trade between each other.
This is a question for the game creators lol, too pointy for me to figure out in the rules. Can we consider trade between us?

The way I analyze that, only one person could actually benefit, the other would be losing out.
Say for a diamond ring, I don't know the inputs for it, but if I had a mine and her the factory, I would sell to her. If I sold to her very cheap, I'd be getting less than I should, so basically I'd be transfering profit over to her.
So we don't both benefit, though that is the whole issue, that I could create another account and benefit from that account by say producing power at 0.02 and buying it from myself at 0.02, id effectively be creating an offbook production capacity, that is an unfair advantage!
Yet, anyone could just buy in the game and pay 1 euro for like 500 000 I think, so unfair advantages are subjective
I've made it my personal objective to build up my empire from scratch, no freebies, so I started with the tutorial, in the food business and don't intend to change that.

You could produce power for 0.01 in the green and sell to her at 0.02! And she could have a mine and use your cheap power to make better profits. Then sell you the oil for cheap and u convert into gasPhoenixz28 wrote:The way I analyze that, only one person could actually benefit, the other would be losing out.

Obviously both countires wudnt advance well but im just saying it could happen....
Id advise against food business, altho i know little about it i can think of many other industries that would provide you with greater profits.Phoenixz28 wrote:I've made it my personal objective to build up my empire from scratch, no freebies, so I started with the tutorial, in the food business and don't intend to change that.
I don't think so. It's just good business for both. My friend has just started playing and to make it easier for her I will sell cheap wood at 13/14, then she will make tables and sell them back to me for 140 or so, and I will sell them on to my customer for 170Phoenix Oil wrote:Additonaly it could be argued that if you traded together you are giving each other an unfair advantage

It benefits both of us...I use my raw capacity/seed/woods/research powers, and she uses her producing powers. We both make a profit and its nice and simple!
This is how business works in real life too, especially with internal departments!
Lol well this is know as 'cheating'sirsamby wrote:I don't think so. It's just good business for both. I think Samba International should watch out

Think that its not fair on other players who play on their own and i think game mods will consider this cheating, u kinda put your foot in it

It depends on the prices... if your wood/ table price is higher than your production price: ok, if not: it is not ok, as this is not allowed in the game. So you should be careful when trading with friends, special partners etc.
Even if this corresponds to behaviour in real life (at least here in Germany), producers would also get much of trouble with the tax authorities if they were making prices below the production costs
And even if not... we do have to have some restriction on that in order to avoid some people cheating too much.
