Sivler Production, Price error?
Moderator: moderators
You already mentioned the costs for the production in your post: 5.4 per unit. +the material, which cannot make the difference to more than 700 caps.
There is a bug in the price stated in the warehouse. We thought that this is fixed now, but it seems as if not. Anyway, this price in the warehouse does not show what you really spent on it.
Will pass it on again so that this can be revised.

Prices in warehouses
Can someone tell us for which products or in what cases the production cost prices in the warehouses are mistaken? In that way, we know we don't have to take them into account.
Thanks.

Another problem I've seen with warehouse price listings is on items that came back from a cancelled production. It seems that once something goes into a production, its price is forgotten. Then when I cancelled the production and the item returned to the warehouse, it would either have a price of zero if there were no other items in the warehouse like it or it would average with the other items.
I know this wouldn't cause the original posters problem, but it is another error in warehouse pricing.

But this is not a "bug". It will remain like this during the whole game: if you produce chemicals with minerals q4, you will get an average price for the chemicals. (system takes the average price of minerals etc.)
If you cancel the production, the system has no figures to take as a basis for the calculation of the minerals sent back to the warehouse... therefore you will always find the 0 as a price there...
If you now have minerals q0 bought from the market, your average price shown in the warehouse will be wrong. So lots of the players don't take the prices shown in the warehouse as a basis for calculations but generally ignore it... and that could also be the reason why this bug has not been recognized so often.
Will give it to the admins of the game and keep you informed on this.

Well, I'm not going to argue over whether you define it as a bug or something else (still not sure from your post). I was simply letting other players know about something that can cause confusion about the warehouse values. In most cases, only a fraction of your item may have come from a cancelled production and then the average price of your items only goes down a little. It confused me a lot until I had a warehouse value of 0.00 and realized what caused it.Tycoon wrote:But this is not a "bug".

But I would be very greatful if the admins were able to improve this.
