Power and water

Or power and oil

Then you can think about wood, stones or gas... depends on you

if you take a look at the market situation and how many people are producing oil... i would take something else. Plantation buisness is good for starters too.

There are at this moment too many producers of oil.
Choice another product.
Begin with a mine and a powerplant.
After that buy a factory.
Then try to make steel.
It gives a nice profit.
Only hard to make, costs some time.

i started off and infact did very well using power. its very low cost to produce (Always build power plants in green) of .01 makes it a 5-6x profit.

If you go with a mine, it is good to have a power plant and a well for water also. Everything in the mine requires only power and water, so you produce your own raw materials.

steel

My suggestion is to get a 2 mines and a factory and start producing steel. It yields a high profit.

the only problem is that the starting money is too low.
so begin with one mine & one power plant.
making steel costs a lot of time.
so try to mine lots of coal and iron ore.
build then the factory while your are mining minerals.
make the chemicals.
then start making steel.
after that you can buy a well.

I definitely agree with jansen on this one. Steel is not for beginners, primarily due to the expense and time involved inmaking it.

Consider to make steel you need 3 materials from a mine and 2 factory processing steps (unless you buy your materials off the market). That takes just about forever with one 2E mine and one 2E factory. I think you need to have another profit source first and then have multiple mines and a factory dedicated to steel before it really becomes worth it.

But as pointed out, you can be very profitable with just the mine and your own power and water. Then you can eventually build up to steel.

or toyfactory, wood is not expansive... when you look at the german kapiland, wood costs around 40-45.
there are not even 200 toyfactorys in all countrys together at the moment
