Okay this is really strange to me.
I went to put some advertisements in one of my stores, and out of curiousity, I took note of the time remaining on my current sale of all items, it was roughly 11:56 before I added the advertisments. After adding them, it went to 12:11 for length of time remaining! Can anyone explain this?

This is, because when you put the products into the shop the first time (maybe a day before or hours before), the basis for the sales time (average price, time, demand) was another one than later on.
As soon as you change one figure in your shop (price, ads...), the sales time is being calculated newly on the basis of the figures valid at that time.
So if the demand figure decreased in the meanwhile, it will take more time to sell the goods. A direct comparison of how it works with and without advertising points can only be given if you fill the shop twice: one time with and one time without ads....
