Store Location Q

Post by Guest » 18.02.2008, 17:49

As you know, products sold in stores to NPC's have different aerage prices, etc., depending on where the store is located.

Right now, I have a couple of stores (groceries. Yes, I know that groceries aren't the best path to the trillionaire, but I *like* the grocery business, okay?) in Germany. I'm thinking of opening one in France.

For the most part, I rely on myself for supplies. My plantations are in Mauritania. My factories are in Germany. Will there be shipping costs of some sort between those countries and France that I'll that I'll have to consider (I know that there can be shipping costs in some cases when you buy from another player, but here I'm talking about betwee my own factories and plantations and my own stores)?

Hello.

When your head office is in Germany, then you don't have any costs at filling your stores located in Germany.

The other posts are close to getting me confused myself, so I'm doing a total rewrite of mine

When filling shops with goods, like with contracts, you have to pay a transport fee to move the goods to the new location.

If you headquarter is located in the same place as the shop you are filling this is 0,-
If you are filling a store somewhere else than where your headquarters are this is slightly more than 0, however, like with contracts this very little and by my own thoughts, neglible

Maybe I add one thing here: Shipping costs are not between you production buildings and you store. And you goods are not transported from a production building to the store. You always transport them from your warehouse to your stores.

So, if you HQ is in Germany, you produce TV
