How ppl go about selling Diamond Rings? I tried (later reset my acc.). Unless you ppl tell me its a waiting game then i understand, but besides that, you can't control the whole supply chain (well i got all except the store!) unless i go abt buying silver and diamonds (which i calculated more exp. then me selling them at the end of the day.)

Just wondering how it works..... :)

1. Play the waiting game, it will take time to grow the business.
2. Dont bother the rings, just sell diamonds! (or silver or gold)
3. Buy diamonds and silver and sell rings but also (1) for the store to get it sold off?

Any ideas whats the best / practical way forward?

Playing the waiting game and producing everything on your own, I would say

Possibility number three is bad... because your diamond rings will be very expensive in the production. and selling just diamonds can also be a hard business in the beginning. I would try to make my way with possibility number 1

my suggestion would be to start with stones make some money then add wood make more money and finaly add steel theres always demand for those products and when u decide to venture into other markets u will be getting ur building materials at cost price (this seems to be the main cost when expanding)

damn
be quiet - that is ultimate strategy....

no. your idea sounds good, but later the guys with the shops will earn much more money than you... and even wood is at the beginning very cheap, when i compare the market prices for example with oil?

Starting off with a well, factory and a gas shop you have a few possibilites

obviously, you can sell the gas in the store, but also you have the ability to sell water and oil

Water is really cheap to produce and is a great earner on the market

1; Stones:

- you can sell stones for 10c, but to be optimistic, let's say 15c

- in one 20 m2 mine you produce 132 pcs/hour = 1980c

- production costs for 1 stone are 1.8c + some water and power, that makes 132 * 1.8 = 237c/hour

- your profit is 1980-237 = 1743c /hour

2; Wood

- you can sell wood for 30c, but to be optimistic, let's say 50c

- in one 20 m2 plantation you produce 33.42 pcs/hour = 1671c

- production costs for 1 wood are 9c + some water, power and seeds, that makes 33 * 9 = 297c /hour

- your profit is 1671-297 = 1374c /hour

3; Steel

- you can sell steel for 90c, but to be optimistic, let's say 100c

- in one 20 m2 factory you produce 22.28 pcs/hour = 2228c

- production costs for 1 steel are 15c + some iron, coal, chemicals and power, that makes 22 * 15 = 330c /hour

- your profit is 2228-330 = 1897c /hour

4; and FINALLY the most sofisticated hi-tech production of Water

- you can sell water for 0.20c, but to be pesimistic, let's say 0.18c

- in one 20 m2 well you produce 11881 pcs/hour = 2138c

- production costs for 1 water are 0.02c + some power, that makes 11881 * 0.02 = 237c /hour

- your profit is 2138-237 = 1901c /hour

:!: :!: :!: :!: :!: Selling water is most profitable :!: :!: :!: :!: :!:

The figures will/ can change very soon. We are right at the beginning of the game and there are lots of people who did not play this game before.
So there are lots of fluctuations on the market (if you observe one single product for one day, you will be quite astonished how prices can change *gg*)

I am convinced that after a while prices will find their place...

Kapilands, the version we're playing, for about 1 week or 2. But it's based on the german version of kapiland which runs for a lot much longer time
