Question on Research...

If I have two of a particular research building, what happens if I have them both researching the same item? Will I get credit for both researches when finished, or am I wasting my money and time if I do this?

you cannot research one item in two RCs at the same time... if you try you will receive a message like: this is being researched in another building...

Since this topic is posted up, i got another Q.

Can i research something when i don't have the building to produce it?
(i think i can, since higher level can sell research, but i have not reach that stage yet, so need to double comfirm).

And normally, how long does research take? and the possible max of it?

I read the kapinews on the article about research. Highly interesting and informative (Thanks!) Then it raise this Q. Does the 40,000 max ad points is standard? or just for a specific building size? and does anyone has an idea or better still know the ad. Q vs. Ad points formula?

Yeah, all you need is the research building to research a product. No production building necessary.

Check out kapitools.de. Find your way to the research calculator, and the information is all there and nicely laid out.

40,000 points max for any store. And an ad gives points equal to its quality plus 1. So q0 = 1, q1 = 2, q2 = 3, etc.
