Here is enough space for all players to ask questions about the game.

I don't know how you big wigs do it

But I can't get past the 600K I started with.

I've got a plantation and a cattle farm (is that the name?) because I started over once from the tutorial.

Anyway, what I can make, the production time is soooooooooo slow it makes turnaround not even worth it. And just when I think I've made a profit, I have to buy water or corn or seeds or something else.

I like this game, but the slowness of progress is making me lose interest very quickly. There's gotta be a better way than this.

Cattle farms make little to no profit (if any at all).

For starters, it is recommended that you produce raw materials such as Wood Q0 (Plantation), Stones (Mines), Power (Power Plants), and maybe Water (Wells) if you are planning on moving into the Oil and Gas Industry. Any raw material will help you up to Manager with little effort and slightly faster than other business when starting out EXCEPT for Steel (Factory) which actually makes hardly any profit. Most players would change their entire building structure when they become a Manager since you now have access to the Buildings Market so if you can make it to Manager, you are in good shape and may be able to handle some more complex businesses.

NOTE: This is a real-time game so there is no way to speed the game up. Just set your buildings to produce for about 24 hrs or whenever you are able to check back again. Also the raw materials I listed above can be canceled anytime so you can get everything that is already produced with Q0 materials returned (the materials should be Q0 anyways).

like younger business said, food produces little or no profit and cattle can been seen as part of the food life cycle unless you use them for leather...

I reccommend building a few power plants and mines and selling power+stones :)

you need to find the right people with the cattle business

right now I am selling my cattle from 360 to 410 per cow but they are Q30 so if I were you go into the power, wood, water, steel (maybe) businesses

Usually it takes about 3-5 days to get first levels if you choose the correct strategy. And more time with higher levels.
Kapilands is not similar to other fast games where you can get a pair levels during some hours.

All the new realms i've seen have been difficult for power.
On the dutch realm i've seen power being sold at 0.03 during the first week.
Not easy building a company with that.
Now i guess the realm is running already 1.5 years, power price still won't go past 0.10 each.
I must say, that realm isn't very active..

It takes some time for the power price to stay above 0.10 i guess.
Other prices i've seen at the dutch realm back then.
Steel: 15 each.
Wood: 20 each.

I never really started new realms tho, just don't like running a small company when used to a big one.
I prefer stepping in when resourses are expensive and i can grow fast :P
I'm kinda lame :) :) :)

I think that is a good business inded.

A well, a factory and a gas station is all you need.
Maybe a power plant when power isn't to cheap.

You should easily be able to build those buildings on day 1 and start producing oil --> gas and sell it.
Never did this tho :)

When i joined R1 it was already running at least 4 months and the new realms i started i never bothered to invest time to grow :P
But looking at some guys i noticed did well on other servers i guess they liked using that strat.
I think VARG AB used the strat and did very well on R2 from the start.
Maybe ask him??

on r2 i did bad
very bad
on r 1 i made a pause like 6 months i am sory thta i made it
if i hadnt made it i would have been the biggest wood maker in r1 but i will be nr 1 one day

The gas industry is the best at begining until you get some cash or other people start to need items

until then you can make a decent income with gas
my firend is a power producer and just started 4 days ago on r1 (i said to him to do it) because power has high price. He makes good income per day
yesterday made 500k profit. He makes like 3 mil power per day an it is kinda good for the start. And he is expanding fast now he have 13 pp.
Now i think from power you can make decent profit because it is easy to make and more and more people need it. So for beginers is good to make power. too bad you cant sell power to system

When you start as a power producer and you get online once a day it is a great business to start a company on R1.
He only needs someone who can buy his power in a contract when he gets online.
I bet you can do that being a wood producer.

That way he can get online, sell you his power, restart his power plants and spend the other cash on building new ones.
I would even consider building red ones for him regarding the current power value on R2.

Also, a small thing i use to get a bit of a jump start...
He could sell his spare steel to you at 135 each.
That way he gets extra cash during his first days to build extra power plants.
Then when he needs steel again he can buy npc at 135...
Thats what i did on R2...
The steel i sold enabled me to build 10 power plants extra while i wouldn't be able to use the steel anyway had i not sold it.
The value of the extra buildings beats the loss on cash even when he sells it at 134 like i did on R2...

With the current power value he probably should be able to have 60 power plants within 2 weeks :)
Spending 15 minutes to restart those 60 power plants is a bit more annoying tho :P
