I just noticed Q129 and Q131 researches on German Kapilands version... more than 127. Is it unlimited? :)

it should stop at 127? :S maybe they increased it? but 127 is the maximum you can set for buildings atm... if you try 128 it resets to 0

so :S

Well, maybe it is to keep the research race going for people to show off even though they are useless (kind of like scores). If this is the case then the other maximum can go up to 255 or even 511. Who knows what the true maximum for research is but I know it will keep people busy to see who will make history when the research stops at the max.

Why have a max. Eventually, all products might become unprofitable if prices go too high. If oil goes really really high, only gas producers that make their own oil will survive. The quality has to keep going up so you can get that extra few caps per unit.

Yes, it is technically unlimited.

Once there has been a restriction, but now this has been removed. You can research as high as you want. ;)

but can you change the research in the buildings? as before when you set the research level in your factories it couldnt go above 127... but has that been taken off now? so that all products can go to immensly high levels???

At the moment this is not possible but the programmers know about the fact and want to change it. Then you should be able to produce as high qualities... as far as you have the necessary researches, which might still take a year for the leading companies. ;) So we all have got a little bit time left... :D
