It did decrease. Before expansion it was taking 2 min 54 sec to produce one unit, and after the expansion it takes 2 min 6 seconds.
The confusion appears to be that they aren't displaying seconds when in the single digits with a leading zero. 0:2:6 is the same as 00:02:06, which some people are more familiar with.
