getting my stuff to market
Can someone give me step-by-step directions for selling stuff on my market? Not to the Kapilands world at large but to my market. The tutorial went through it one time, but I'm 64 and need more times through. Now I can't re-access the tutorial to find the answer. Can anyone help?

I followed your directions and it is selling stuff on the Kapilands market, not my market. Any other ideas?

Maybe that's what I'm asking??? I really don't know. Like I said, I went through the tutorial one time and I don't remember what they called it. But it was mine, not kapilands (where I could adjust the prices if that helps).Azer Productions wrote:What do you mean "your market"? The Kapiland market IS the market.
Are you asking about stores?
Ash
Then it was a store.
1. You need to build the currect store depending on the product you wish to sell. (Check the "Help" area ingame for this information.)

How do I find out what store(s) I have and how do I proceed to add things to that store for sale?Azer Productions wrote:Then it was a store.

Click on Sale in the row of links near the top. If your tutorial was the same as mine, you have a Grocery. You really should look at the third post in the link that Azer Productions gave above. It has screenshots of exactly what to do.ashara wrote:How do I find out what store(s) I have and how do I proceed to add things to that store for sale?Azer Productions wrote:Then it was a store.

Thank you for your response. I did check the link that Azer Productions sent and I found out the answer to my question.
What would you suggest as my next factory?
See.......I'm really new at this and haven't the first clue how to proceed.
I do appreciate everyone's help and patience with an old lady though.

Hello. Welcome to Kapilands. I'm fairly new here as well.
Option two is stop and take take a look around. Both in the game and here on the Web Board. There are alot of bigger companies that have high quality/high money end products and they do very well. The problem they run into is that many of them cannot produce all the raw materials that they need or can use, and are willing to pay players very well to produce them.
The second method is the one I would recommend. It has two main advantages. 1) It provides you with a guaranteed (if modest) income to begin with. By selling on contract to other players, you don't have to deal with the common market at all. No wondering if someone is going to buy your product, if you set the price too high or having to pay the 10% fee to sell on the open market. 2)It gives you a chance to explore the game some. Since you are not under the pressure to pick a good product and start making huge gobs of money right away, you can take your time and figure out exactly where it is you want to carve out your place here in Kapilands.
I highly recommend using the second method. Not near as much pressure and it allows you to develop your game at your own pace.
Have fun playing.
You have a couple of different options here. You can immediately jump into producing stuff that you can sell in your retail outlets. But that requires a pretty comprehensive knowledge of what is profitable, and what is not. Plus figuring out part of your production chains you are better off producing yourself and which item are better bought from other players or the market. Without going into too much detail, it's kind of tough for a brand new player to get that sort of business up and running. What would you suggest as my next factory?

Whatever you need, you should produce yourself if you can do so more cheaply than the market price. Power, water, steel, and wood are needed universally, either directly or indirectly. Whatever you don't need for your own business can be easily sold on the market.
1. Power Plant - Power is needed to get water from a well, and other things too.
2. Well - You need water to grow plants and animals, as well as for many other things.
3. Mine - In order to expand, you need steel. You can mine coal, iron ore, and minerals, which are needed to produce steel. You can also mine stones, which are needed for expansion.
4. Factory - Allows you to produce chemicals and steel.

Make sure to read Ursa Logistics last post a couple times, there is some really good advice there.
Pegrin is partly right, at the begining it might be wise to produce your own raw materials as you will be short on cash. However, in the end you should be focused on one or two products and buying any raw materials from other player or the market.
Good industries to go into:
Wood, Steel, Stone - There is a black hole here. If you product Q0 of these products you will always be able to find a buyer for under the NPC price.
Wardrobes - Not so easy to find a buyer for low quality or low quantity amounts. High quality and high quantity will make you a very nice profit.
Gas & Oil - Pretty good for a starting product as it doesn't take too much investment and it is pretty easy to sell.
Toys, wooden toy, stuffed animals - Worthless to sell in stores but the demand is growing pretty fast for Realm 1. (You got to keep those children happy in all those Kindergartens.)
There are many other good industries but I don't feel like listing them all.
