hi, does anyone know if buying expensive items on the marked is cheating? There are often items that are extremely overpriced on the marked, (for example wood for 1000 caps per piece) is it cheating if you buy such items? and if so why do ppl place things at the marked at such prices?
Someone who knows plz answer.

?cheating?
The reason I asked was that I have a friend that started playing not too long ago, and of course I am interested in helping him as much as I can. Mainly I give him hints and advices to what products to focus on and so on, but I know its nice to have someone who can give you a good deal.
How good deal is it possible to give someone without being taken for cheating?
- Is buying power from him for 0,13 caps or 0,14 caps cheating? cuz noone would have bought that if he put it on the marked.
Or buying power he has put on the marked for 200 or 1000caps, that definetly should be cheating, but is it?

In kapilands, there are no price caps. There shouldn't be if you want it to be based on a free market. In this system, things could be sold at whatever price the seller wants to sell at. However, because there is cheating that could occur by simply doing what you suggest, the kapilands staff does not allow it completely.
The goods at the market place who are at an "extreme" overprice most of the time know that they won't be bought. They're there for another reason... publicity. To explain this quickly, a highly overpriced good won't be bought, but it'll always remain there, showing who's selling the product. I, for example, could sell 1 power in the market @ 1000 caps. Someone who wants to buy power off me could see this on the market and contact me to supply to him.

Now, that rule is hard to follow because of different perspectives. Hmmm... I'm thinking that you could help him by turning him into a power supplier. I wouldn't say buying power for 0.13 or 0.14 caps as "extreme" advantage, but this trade might be questioned by the kapi staff and people under another perspective. Because of that, help him a bit less, maybe buying at 0.11 or 0.12 caps, which would reduce the microscope on your accounts and still help him. Avoid deletion of your accounts by NEVER logging on with the same IP adress.(2) Presents, credits or trades with an extreme advantage on one side are not allowed. If one of these things is detected the account in question will be deleted.
