Where to Build Factorys?

setting up a gas company on new realm, is it better to build my factorys on green on red?


i used kapi tools got

Level Manager
Area RED
Worker (20 empl. = fully employed building with 200m

Build factories to produce q0 steel in green area.
Build factories for other products in red area.

i dunno if that made any sense but is it worth the extra production cost for the extra gas produced?

Bring your numbers back to profit per hour, and you'll see for yourself =)

hourly profit = (what a unit is worth on the market - what it costs to produce it) x how many units you produce in an hour.

Kapitools gave you most of that, except for the oil cost, and gas resale value; but if you're in that buisness branch -or want to be-, you likely are familiar with those numbers already.

Note that the higher you can sell the product for, the more profitable it is to manufacture it in red. Some products are not directly profitable to produce in red in Q0, but keep in mind that you'll eventually improve your quality and thus improve the sale price per unit.
So, in the long run, most products which can raise in Q, are profitable in red (or rather, become profitable at a given Q). There are exceptions to it, like ads or E-comps, though.
